Kristen Stewart Named Seventh Most Inspirational Star Of 2012
Kristen Stewart's affair with married director Rupert Sanders might seem to most as being the low point of 2012 for the actress, but according to a new list it has made her one of the most inspirational stars of the year comparing her to the courage of cancer stricken Robin Roberts and the community of Aurora, Colorado who were devastated when a gunman open fire in a cinema in July killing 16.
The 'Twilight' actress came seventh in E! Online's 'Most Inspirational Star List' beating Olympic and Paralympic double-leg amputee, Oscar Pistorius who made history by competing at both London Games this summer as well as group Pussy Riot, who were imprisoned for singing a protest song against the Russian government.
E!Online explained why Kristen's handling of the fall out of her affair, after photos of the actress kissing the director were published in July, was worthy to be on such a list.
They said: “What do you do when you screw up, and get caught? If you're the Twilight actress, you apologise, put your head down and do your work, even if doing your work means putting you in front of the same people—the press and the public—who spent their summer scrutinizing and criticizing your every move. It may not be the classic feel-good tale, but it's a blueprint nonetheless on how to take your lumps.”
While we're sure it's been a difficult few months for Kristen and she has managed to bounce back well from the revelations of her extra-marital affair, we're not sure it deserves to be in the same league as other acts of bravery, such as Frank Ocean's confession that he had previously “fell in love with a man” and named fourth on the list.
Topping the list were those devastated by the shooting at in Aurora Colorado. 16 people were killed when a gunman opened fire during a midnight screening of 'Dark Knight Rises' on July 20.
E! Online praised their bravery following the tragedy: “When a heavily armed man burst into the Century Aurora 16 theater during an opening-day, midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises, the stars came out. Jarell Brooks was said to have helped a mother and her two young children out of the killing ground.”
Jonathan Blunk, Matthew McQuinn and Alexander Teves were reported to have died shielding their respective girlfriends. 'Even in the darkest of days,' President Barack Obama would later say, 'life continues and people are strong.'"
Do you think Kristen deserves to get on the list?
